METAL-FAB® 5M5

Metal-Fab's round and oval Type-B vent is listed by Underwriters Laboratories for use with approved category 1 gas furnaces, heaters, and boilers. A category 1 appliance operates with a non-positive vent static pressure. The double wall design of B-vent enables the product to be used in homes and commercial buildings at close clearance to combustible. Metal-Fab's B-vent design incorporates features that make installation quick, easy, and safe.

• Male end
• SureLock™ positive twist-lock
• Elimination of sharp edges by hemming the flue and casing
• Assembly and disassembly, without tools, using positive twist-lock
• 360 deg rotation of small dia fittings using swivel tees, wyes, and elbows
• Space savings inside standard stud walls using oval pipe
• The vent shall be of the double-wall, Factory built type for use with approved category I appliance burning natural or LP gas, which produce flue gases exhausted at temperatures not exceeding 550 deg F
• The vent shall be constructed of an outer wall of galvanized steel 0.018 in THK G-90 for sizes 3 to 14 in Dia and 0.024 in THK G-90 for sizes 16 to 30 in Dia
• The inner wall shall be constructed of aluminum alloy 0.012 in THK for sizes 3 to 8 in Dia and 0.018 in THK for sizes 10 to 30 in Dia
• The vent pipe shall incorporate a push-tab locking system to prevent disassembly of vent during or after installation
• Vent shall be tested and listed for a min clearance to combustibles of 1 in for sizes 3 to 24 in Dia and 2 in for sizes 26 to 30 in Dia
• Type B-Vent shall be installed in accordance with the vent manufacturer's installation instructions, UL listing and state or local codes
• Type B-Vent shall be warranted by the manufacturer against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original installation
• Air insulation
• Vent overlaps 1.5 in when joined together
• B-Vent products shall be listed to UL-441 and carry the appropriate UL or cUL listing mark or label
