The furnace and air handler contain components that must be protected from surges such as, ECM motors, Control Boards, Transformers. The Mars® Surge utilizes thermally protected MOV technology for safe and reliable protection of equipment. The 120V Surge Device is easy to install with only 2 wires to connect.
