Electrical wire is the medium through which electricity is carried to and through each individual home that uses electrical power. It is made of a metal that easily conducts electricity, usually copper. An electrical cable is an electrical unit that consists of a multiple number of independent conductive wires. The wires within the cable may be solid core, stranded, braided or a combination of several of these.
